Jesus had many admirers for his great use of power and help. But Jesus picked 12 specific apostles to follow him and help continue his good works for His people. One of these apostles were John, also known as a son of thunder. John was known to be as the beloved son and a good companion of Jesus. He was the author of the New Testament books as the Gospel of John. John had a brother name James which Jesus referred to them as "The Sons of Thunder". John preached about baptism and the repentance of our sins. John also preaches that he baptized everyone with water but Jesus baptized everyone with the Holy Ghost. I can live out discipleship in my life by following the example of John and the other Apostles. By giving back to my community just like John did with his people and Jesus by baptizing them. Following his example will take us closer to leading others just like the apostles did.
